Do I need a visa photo for Türkiye if I live in Singapore?

TL;DR Probably not. A Singapore passport needs no visa for Türkiye. Most other nationalities use the e-Visa, granted online in minutes with no photograph. Only an in-person application at the Embassy takes a photo — "one passport size photograph (taken in the last 6 months)", no millimetres given.

Three cases, from the Embassy's own note

Singaporean: no visa. E-Visa-eligible nationality: online, no photo. Everyone else: apply at the Embassy in person with the application form, one passport-size photo under six months old, passport and residence card copies, an employment letter, itinerary, hotel confirmation and bank statements.

About the size

The Embassy's note gives no millimetres. An older version of the same note (2012) said 5 × 5 cm; the current one (2014) dropped it and says only "passport size". Türkiye's biometric standard of 50 × 60 mm is what this site outputs, flagged on the page as the biometric standard rather than a size the Embassy states. Confirm at the appointment.

A real case

A Singaporean and her Indian husband booked Istanbul together. She needed nothing. He applied for the e-Visa on his phone in the taxi and had it before they reached the airport — no photo either. The guide that told them to prepare two 5 × 5 prints was fourteen years old.

Common questions

Is the e-Visa really photo-free?
The Embassy describes it as issued in about three minutes with no need to apply at a mission; the e-Visa form collects passport and travel details, not a photo.
Does a Singapore PR holding another passport need a visa?
It depends on that passport's nationality, not on Singapore residence. Check the Ministry's visa-information page the Embassy links to.
